Van Osdol – Entrepreneurial Law

Every entrepreneur needs a great attorney.

We recognize that entrepreneurs often need to be recognized as more than just another business. That is why Van Osdol created a special entrepreneurial law group dedicated to the unique challenges that entrepreneurs and startups encounter. Our goal is simple: to help you and your startup get from where you are to where you want to be.

Access to the valuable resources.

Van Osdol attorneys maintain community connections with the resources and organizations that your business or start-up needs. We offer our clients acess to incubators, investors, web developers, mentoring organizations, accountants and insurance companies—valuable contacts to get your business up and running and grow successfully.

Everything you need and nothing you don’t.

Our approach is different than that of many law firms. First, when we begin counseling a startup, we focus on the most important legal needs of the moment. At the same time, we are mindful of future issues that might arise, but we don’t waste your time, money, or other resources creating a complex corporate structure or drafting complex legal documents for which you may not be ready. We typically counsel early-stage startups on matters such as choice of entity analysis, business formation, governing documents, and contracts with employees, independent contractors, clients, and vendors.

When your startup is ready to move on to the next level, we are ready to move with you.  If you need a more complex corporate structure, or a Delaware corporation, we can help you get there. If you find yourself in a position to take on financing, whether from family and friends, angels, or VCs, we can help you through that process as well.

We can also help with the maintenance and operational issues your startup will face while growing. There are numerous legal issues that will come up such as disputes with co-founders or third parties, contracts with big clients, and taxation issues, and you should always have a good attorney available to help you thorough these matters.

The Van Osdol Advantage.

Attorneys in our Entrepreneurial Law Group, like all Van Osdol attorneys, work as a team—applying their combined experiences, perspectives and skills to find creative solutions to your most pressing concerns. Additionally, we strive to provide attentive, cost-effective service to each of our clients.

If you are ready to talk to an attorney, or even if you are unsure if you need an attorney, feel free to reach out to any of our entrepreneurial law attorneys to get you headed in the right direction.
