Setting up a new business we are all going to essentially do the same thing and create the same documents and establish a relationship with a client, frankly an LLC in 15 minutes. That’s the kind of work that should get paid on a flat fee,” said Beachy. Beachy continued to explain that “other matters such as, contracts, are more difficult to quote. Usually an initial contract can be drawn up quickly, but if the other party wants to negotiate or protract the matter, a client is less likely to find a lawyer willing to spend the time if it outstrips the amount the lawyer could have sold by the hour.
