Elizabeth Patterson was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. She attended St. Louis University and obtained her undergraduate degree and master’s in accounting. She attended University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and received her master’s of law in taxation in December 2010. Prior to joining our firm, she assisted clients with their aviation tax planning and worked at H&R Block in the Tax Institute, providing information and analysis on real world implications of tax policy and tax proposals to individuals and tax preparers. Today, Elizabeth spends most of her time counseling clients on matters including business and not-for-profit formation and representation, tax policy and estate planning. She assists clients with business choice of entity decisions, contract review, gift and tax planning issues including preparation of wills and trusts, and tax controversy with the IRS. Elizabeth also prepares income tax returns and federal and state estate and gift tax returns. Elizabeth is a board member and officer of the E. F. Wildermuth Foundation in Columbus, Ohio, a Family Foundation which has contributed millions of dollars to various charities located in Ohio and the Midwest. Liz also serves on the Heart of America Tax Institute Committee, an annual two-day tax conference with nationally known speakers presenting on relevant topics in various areas of taxation including income, estate planning and accounting methods. Her passions include tennis, family, traveling, and the Ohio State Buckeyes!
