More Than Just Lawyers: Van Osdol in the Community

Tom and Kay Willy recently received an award from the US Army for 20 years patriotic service as volunteer sponsors for international military students at the US Army Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, Kan. image00 As chair of the Children’s Mercy Hospital Planned Giving Council, Mindy Ward was recently invited to participate in the Discover Children’s Mercy Program, which is a one day, behind the scenes look for business and community leaders at the care and teaching programs at the hospital. She was treated to one-on-one rotations with pediatric subspecialists, nurses and other providers in areas such as surgery, hematology/oncology, neonatal intensive care, and emergency medicine. Other Van Osdol lawyers who are part of the CMH Planned Giving Council are Paul Himmelstein, Cheryl Boushka and Bob Beachy. Shawn Stogsdill will speak on Succession Planning and the Legal and Tax Considerations When Selling A Company in April at an upcoming NBI Seminar.
