Van Osdol Serves the Legal Profession

Van Osdol News October 10, 2014

Recently Tony Gosserand and Anne-Linton Pond Hendrickson were selected to become members of the Earl E. O’Connor American Inn of Court. The Inn comprises attorneys and Federal and State Judges from Johnson and Wyandotte Counties. It is modeled after the British Inns of Court and named in honor of Judge Earl E. O’Connor, former Chief Judge of the District of Kansas, who was the inspiration behind the creation of this Inn. The objectives of the Inn are to promote excellence in legal advocacy, foster a greater understanding of and appreciation for the adversary system of dispute resolution in American law and create collegiality between the trial bar and the judiciary. It promotes ethics, civility, professionalism, legal skills and the preservation and transmission of ethical values from one generation of legal professionals to the next. For several years Tom Bradshaw has served as a Master in the Kansas City, Mo. based Inns of Court (now Judge Ross Roberts Trial Academy) helping train young trial lawyers in their craft. american_inns_of_court Additionally, Anne was elected in August to the Board of Directors of the Lawyer’s Association of Kansas City for a three-year term. Previously, Anne was the chair of the Young Lawyer’s Section of LAKC and she looks forward to continuing to serve the profession through her work on the Board.
