Who Is Vomer?
VOMER is the email address of Van Osdol & Magruder, P.C. Originally it was a contraction of our old firm name, Van Osdol, Magruder, Erickson & Redmond, but years ago we shortened the firm name but not the Web address.
More importantly, VOMER is a collaborative group of excellent lawyers, working together to bring our clients the best legal service we can. Starting this month, we will profile one of these fine people so you can get a flavor of who we really are.
Meet Bob Beachy!
Our first profile will be Bob Beachy. Bob graduated from UMKC Law School in 1973 with numerous honors and immediately became the sixth lawyer in our firm. He is the only member of that group still practicing today and thus, our most senior partner.
While an associate, Bob earned an L.L.M. in business law which has held him in good stead throughout his more than forty years of practice. He brings a very broad base of expertise to the representation of many small businesses and the people they comprise.
He has had extensive experience in the healthcare area as well as estate planning, having been honored by election as President of both the Society of Health Care Lawyers and the Estate Planning Society of Kansas City.
The respect of his peers has also resulted in Bob being recognized as an AV Preeminent Lawyer for over 25 years, as a Super Lawyer every year since the award was established, and accorded the status of one of the Top 100 lawyers in Missouri and Kansas in the most recent survey of lawyers in both states.
After many years in the position, Bob resigned as president of our firm in 2011, but was immediately dubbed Chief Strategic Officer, a position which still causes quizzical looks among all of us, but essentially means we can’t shut him up.
