On November first, our client Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center increased its patient volume by over one-third. St. Luke’s Hospital and Cabot Westside Health Center transferred ownership and control of The Cabot Westside Health Center to Samuel Rodgers, thus strengthening its already formidable commitment to the safety net provider network in Kansas City. Primarily devoted to the care of the Hispanic community on the west side of Kansas City, Cabot has been providing primary health care services since 1906. The new relationship with Samuel Rodgers will expand the availability of care to that community by one of the city’s top Federally Qualified Health Centers.
Hilda Fuentes, CEO of Samuel Rodgers, said, “This is an excellent opportunity to ensure that the critical services Cabot Westside has been providing to the community continue to exist. Patients will now have access to women’s health services, pharmacy, and imaging services. Additionally, services will be based on an affordable sliding scale, which will increase access to care. This is wonderful and new for the community.”
Van Osdol & Magruder was pleased to assist Rodgers Health Center with this acquisition.
